Mother and 8-Year-Old Daughter Found Murdered in Rajasthan Home; Robbery Suspected

Shocking Double Murder Reported in Rajasthan’s Kota

In a tragic incident from Kota, Rajasthan, a 32-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter were found murdered inside their rented home in the Rojadi area, police officials confirmed on Saturday. The victims have been identified as Jyoti (32) and her young daughter Palak (8).

Robbery Angle Under Investigation

According to family members, the house showed clear signs of forced entry and robbery.
Jewellery was missing, cupboards were open, and household items were scattered across the rooms, raising strong suspicion of loot leading to murder.

Police revealed that Jyoti’s 1.5-year-old son was found alive in his cradle, but in a semi-conscious condition, reportedly due to prolonged crying. He was immediately taken to a hospital by his father and is now safe.

Husband Found the Child First

Jyoti’s husband, Bhagwan Vaishnav, said he returned home from work around 8 PM and discovered his daughter bleeding. With neighbours’ help, he rushed her to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

Meanwhile, other family members located Jyoti’s body in the kitchen. A roti on the stove and kneaded dough nearby suggested she was attacked while preparing dinner.

Signs Point to Potential Visitors

Family members also reported that three tea cups were found in the house, indicating the possibility that known visitors may have been present before the crime.

Palak was still in her school uniform when discovered, and preliminary reports suggest she may have been suffocated to death.

Police Register Murder Case

DSP Manish Sharma confirmed that a case of murder has been filed, and an intensive investigation is underway.
Authorities assured that the accused will be arrested soon, and post-mortem examinations are being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
