Congress Revokes Suspension of Six MLAs in Rajasthan Assembly Amid Protests

The Congress party has officially lifted the suspension of six Congress MLAs, including Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra. This decision comes after intense protests led by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other Congress leaders outside the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

Protests Against Suspension

Ashok Gehlot and several Congress MLAs staged a demonstration, condemning the ruling party’s actions. They accused the government of political targeting and demanded justice for the suspended leaders.

Congress’ Disciplinary Actions in Haryana

This is the second major disciplinary action by the Congress party in recent weeks. The party also expelled several leaders in Haryana for anti-party activities ahead of the upcoming civic polls.

An official statement declared,
“Based on reports of party members indulging in anti-party activities during the ongoing elections, the following individuals are expelled from the party for six years, effective immediately.”

Gehlot Criticizes Ruling Party

Speaking on the matter, Ashok Gehlot criticized the ruling party for neglecting their demands. He stated,
“The ruling party is ignoring our protest. We have received no response from their end. They are deliberately targeting Govind Singh Dotasra to malign the Congress party. I have been in continuous discussions with the Chief Minister and the Assembly Speaker to break this deadlock.”

This development has intensified the political tension in Rajasthan, with the Congress party determined to push back against what they call an unfair targeting of their leaders.
