A Decade of Cultural Celebration in Zinc City

The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 concluded on a spectacular note, celebrating ten years of musical excellence and cultural exchange in the iconic open spaces of Udaipur (Zinc City). Conceptualized by Seher in association with Hindustan Zinc and in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan and the Department of Tourism, the festival brought together Indian and international artists, offering audiences a unique musical journey.

Morning Melodies at Manjhi Ghat

The festival’s final day began at Manjhi Ghat (Ambrai Ghat) with serene performances from 9:00 am. Siddharth Belmannu opened with a Hindustani classical recital, followed by Spain’s From Father to Son: Flamenco, who showcased the soulful legacy of Spanish flamenco. These performances set a peaceful and culturally rich tone for the day.

Afternoon Performances at Fateh Sagar

The afternoon session began at 3:30 pm on the Fateh Sagar embankment, featuring Poland’s Wolosi, whose energetic interpretation of Polish folk music captivated the audience. The session concluded with Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock, blending traditional and contemporary sounds seamlessly.

Evening Highlights at Gandhi Grounds

The final performances took place at Gandhi Grounds from 6:00 pm, beginning with Spain’s Flamenco Dream, presenting an energetic mix of Spanish jazz and pop. Chile’s Calle Mambo enthralled the crowd with vibrant Latin rhythms, and the festival closed with Amit Trivedi, whose dynamic performance ensured audience participation and a memorable conclusion to the 2026 edition.

Global Artists and Unique Musical Voices

Over three days, the festival featured artists from around the world:

  • Radha Bubukwar – refined light classical Indian music

  • Les Itinérantes (France) – soft acapella elegance

  • Amrit Ramnath – contemporary classical interpretations

  • Lucibela (Cape Verde) – emotional Morna and Coladeira melodies

  • Taba Chake – folk-inspired compositions

  • Valerie Ekoumé (Cameroon) – infectious Afro-pop rhythms

  • OAFF – modern electronic soundscapes

  • Jonita Gandhi – versatile vocals and powerful stage presence

Additionally, performances by Nord (Norway), Sofiane Saidi (Algeria), and Kailash Kher & Kailasa Live further enriched the festival with fusion, folk, Sufi, and global sounds.
